Spread Offense is killing me!

I run a 3-3-5 defense. My run game is pretty respectable, but when my opponent goes to a spread style game I can't stop them! I usually use 3-3-5 over (giving 5 db's) or dime sets to give myself an advantage, but not helping very much. i've mixed up my plays from zone to man and back to zone but cant find anything that works. Anybody with some tips will help... thanks.

Usually doing man zone combos work. Manning up on the slot wr's usually helps against the spread, along with covering the flats. You may want to cover the middle yourself if your gettig beat using the man zone combo, butrunning straight man or zone won't help against a good spread user, so you have to use both at the same time and guard an area yourself.

does that involve audibles for specific players after breaking the huddle or just selecting plays with those combos? i usually play as MLB or OLB covering the middle best i can.

Specific hot routes. Using the regular plays don't work like you'd want them, so you're going to make the adjustments yourself.
